My name is Shaun Jeffrey, and I am the proud founder of Liwanag Candle Co. 'Liwanag' means light in Tagalog, a beacon that has illuminated my most transformative life moments. Our logo, elegantly written in Baybayin, the traditional pre-colonial Filipino script, is a tribute to my heritage and a symbol of our deep-rooted cultural identity.

Discovering my adoption story at 28, during the pandemic's turmoil, was a moment of profound introspection and resilience. This revelation, shared over a plate of tostadas with my mom, deepened my connection to the phrase "liwanag sa dilim" – light in the darkness. It has since been a guiding light in my life, inspiring the creation of Liwanag Candle Co.

Each candle at Liwanag is a memory, a story, and a piece of my journey. We commit to sustainability in our craft, using 100% soy wax and phthalate-free oils to ensure each candle not only tells a story but does so responsibly and safely.
